SEO for independent hotels, B&Bs, holiday lets and inns
Stop paying commission on the guests who already know your name
Booking.com and Expedia typically take 15 to 25 per cent of every stay, and many of those stays began with someone searching your property by name and finding the OTA first. SEO for Hotels is monthly direct-booking work for UK independents from £399 a month, 3-month minimum, one property per town on the Local tier: your own rate in Google's price list, a booking path that works on a phone, pages for the searches the OTAs cannot answer, and a report that counts room nights rather than rankings.

What the OTAs take from your property in a year
Type in the five numbers you already know. The result is the commission leaving the business, and what every ten points of OTA share moved to direct is worth after your booking costs. Nothing is sent to us.
The same calculator sits against our tiers on the pricing page.

Your numbers, your maths; it does not predict what Google will send. Booking.com and Expedia typically charge an independent property 15 to 25 per cent, varying by country and the visibility programmes joined; your extranet invoices show the exact figure.
Where a booking comes from
Five places a guest finds you before the OTA gets a cut
Search for a property from a phone and watch where the taps go. Each of these is won differently and costs something different per booking, and the services on this site are organised the same way.

Your own name
The knowledge panel and its price list. If your rate is in it, the guest who already chose you books with you. If not, they book through the first OTA listed.

The hotel module
The map with prices for a town search, built from listings rather than websites. Free booking links put your rate beside the OTAs' at no cost per click.

Nothing on a free link; the click on an ad03
The specific search
"Dog friendly hotel near Bala Lake." "Hotel with parking, Chester city centre." The OTAs have no page for these. A page of yours ranks for months.

Proof, honestly labelled
We have no hotel case study to show you yet. Here is what we can show.
The method is the one we use for every client: the Google listing first, then the booking path, then the pages, then reviews, then the numbers read every month. The most recent result is a vehicle remapping client in Chester, new site launched July 2026, figures from Google's own tools.
Method, caveats and a worked hotel example labelled as such are on the results page. No client names, no testimonials, no counters.

How it works
Listing first, then the booking path, then the pages
The cheapest fix goes first because it catches the name searches immediately. The pages come later because they take months to settle and need the booking path to land on.
Week 1
The audit
The listing, the price list on your name, the booking path on a phone, the three properties above you. Sent in plain English with the quote. Free.
Weeks 2 to 3
The listing and the rate feed
Categories, class, amenities, photos, check-in times, special hours. Your own rate into the price list through the engine or by hand.
Weeks 3 to 6
The booking path
Live rates on the room pages, the total shown first, the engine styled to the site, tracking that follows the guest into it.
Month 2 onward
Pages, reviews, mentions
A page a month for a specific search or a season, a review routine across Google and Tripadvisor, mentions on the sites that send guests.
Every month
The report
Direct room nights, OTA share, what the listing sent, what Search Console shows, what we refused to touch. Two pages, written by the person who did the work.
Who you are dealing with
A named person in Wrexham, working with properties across the UK
SEO for Hotels is run by Daniel Stoychev at Webso Digital, a web and SEO studio in Wrexham. We build the sites, read the Search Console and booking-engine reports, and write the monthly report ourselves. No account managers, no offshore content farm.
- One person owns your account from the audit to the report
- ICO registered (ZC207002); your enquiries and guest data handled under UK GDPR
- Pricing on the website, the same for everyone
Things we will not do
- Buy, gate or incentivise reviews. Banned practices since April 2025, and the platforms remove the listing.
- Build a page for every town within twenty miles. Google's doorway policy filters them.
- Push an OTA visibility programme before your own rate is in Google's price list.
- Promise a position in the hotel module, or lock you into twelve months.
By property
The same method, written for your kind of property
Bed and breakfasts
Rates by hand in the listing, the breakfast as the search, phone bookings counted.
Holiday lets and cottages
Agency commission, exclusivity clauses, sleeps-eight searches, Google's holiday-let listings.
Boutique and independent hotels
A bigger name search, OTAs bidding on it, member rates inside parity, city competition.
Pubs with rooms and inns
Two businesses in one listing, the rooms page behind the menu, walkers and match days.

How Hotels Get Found on Google
What a guest sees searching for a hotel in your town: adverts, the price module, the OTAs, then you. Who wins each part and what each costs per booking.
Google Business Profile for Hotels
A hotel's Google listing carries class, check-in times, a fixed amenity list, a price module and web reviews. What to fill in, in the order it matters.
Why Your Hotel Site Gets No Direct Bookings
Visits but no bookings means one of nine ordinary problems: no rate on the page, a strange booking engine, the total shown last, no reason to book direct.

Open Competitor WatchQuestions hotel owners ask us
What does one property per town mean?
We take one property per town on the Local tier, because we cannot honestly push two hotels for the same searches in the same place. Put your town on the quote form and we confirm it is free in the reply.
Do you only work with hotels?
Independent and boutique hotels, B&Bs and guest houses, holiday lets, and pubs with rooms. The same team runs Webso Digital, which does the same work for other trades, and that is where the results on our results page come from.
Will you take us off Booking.com?
No. The OTAs bring guests who would never have found you and cost nothing until those guests stay. The work is about the guests who already know your name and the searches the OTAs cannot answer.
How quickly will direct bookings change?
The listing and the rate feed catch name searches within weeks. New pages take three to six months, and a seasonal page only works if it is live before the booking window. We say at month six whether it is working.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
Three months minimum, because nothing meaningful shows in month one. After that it is monthly, and you keep the listing, the pages and the reviews whatever happens.

Send us your property name, your town and your website. You get a plain-English audit of your Google hotel listing, your booking path and the three properties above you, with a quote. No pressure, no long contract.
